“Marcellus Matters: Investigating the Human/Societal Impacts and Environmental Issues Related to Development of the Marcellus Shale”

Development of the natural gas reserves of the Marcellus Shale will transform many of Pennsylvania’s rural communities with opportunities for economic development and with increasing demand for housing, workers and government and public services. Development also will affect Pennsylvania’s natural resources including forests, wildlife and watersheds.  The Marcellus Center for Outreach and Research is a resource for Penn State researchers interested in examining those issues.

The aim of this informational meeting is to:
