About MCOR

The Marcellus Center for Outreach and Research brings together Penn State’s considerable expertise on energy development issues in Pennsylvania, nationally, and abroad. Our focus revolves around the energy transition that is occurring in Pennsylvania and across the US, specifically where the synergies between unconventional shale and renewable energy sources occur. MCOR’s personnel are dedicated to being a valuable resource for the diverse group of stakeholders involved with or affected by large-scale energy development.

MCOR explores the technology, economic, legal, social and environmental aspects of large-scale energy development including the associated benefits and challenges. By leveraging the University’s significant strengths in outreach and research, MCOR serves all stakeholders including local, state and federal agencies, elected officials, communities, landowners, industry, and environmental groups.

We welcome you to learn more about the Marcellus Center for Outreach and Research and its initiatives on the evolving energy transition.
